The new venue for sports enthusiasts: from a partnership with Gruppo Ethos
Milan’s restaurant industry has a new venue for sports enthusiasts. It’s Casa Milan – Bistrot dello Sport: a bar, restaurant and pizzeria that has been created thanks to the partnership betweenCasa Milan and Gruppo Ethos at the Portello district.
The new management, entrusted to the Lombard company, opened the new structure on November 9, 2019, at the Rossoneri headquarters. After 30 years of business experience in the food branch, Gruppo Ethos is a well-established company throughout Lombardy and the “Bistrot dello Sport” is its third restaurant in Milan (after Grani & Braci and Karné).
“We are delighted to start this business with an important partner like AC Milan – commented Beppe Scotti, CEO of the Group – Our company’s strengths are adaptability and efficiency, and the Rossonero Club chose us precisely for the expertise we have built over thirty years of business in the restaurant industry. There are not many companies in this sector that boast our longevity“.
The Group, with a turnover of €18,5m in 2018, is a sui generis case in the restaurant industry: it shares some features with the chain restaurant industry (the corporate organization) while creating a brand-new type of format given that each restaurant is characterized by different brands, furnishings and menus.
“I am particularly happy with the partnership we established with Gruppo Ethos, a reference point for Milanese restaurants – said AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer Casper Stylsvig – Thanks to this agreement, born from the common passion for sport and good food, our headquarters are going to become more and more appealing for the Rossoneri fans and Milan’s citizens. I am sure that this link with Gruppo Ethos will be outstanding and it will also be appreciated by our future guests“.
This new opening also included Gruppo Ethos’ strong assets: quality based organic raw materials, a wide offer that meets the tastes of a mixed customer base, attention to customers’ dietary requirements. The “Bistrot dello Sport” also offers numerous services dedicated to business lunches during the week, to families and people with food intolerances and, this time, especially to sports enthusiasts.
The new “Bistrot dello Sport”, housed at Casa Milan, overlooks Piazza Gino Valle, one of the largest squares in the city included in the renewal of the Portello district and it offers a never-tasted version of the combination of food and sports: a place where customers can enjoy a modern and design environment and quality food.
The 17 monitors inside the restaurant celebrate AC Milan but are going to air also to the most important football matches of the Italian championship and the international cups. Football won’t be a monopoly; the “Bistrot dello Sport” is going to offer also the most important sporting events: cycling, rugby, volleyball, basketball, outdoor sports and winter specialties.
The Menu offers a journey through land and sea dishes, whose fil rouge is the contemporary cuisine, with Italian traditional recipes, such as pumpkin risotto and Porcini or cotoletta alla milanese, along with dishes with intriguing combinations, for example the Fassone Garronese beef tartare with hazelnut mayonnaise, olive oil powder and thyme bread croutons. The Bistrot also offers pizzas with two different pastries: sourdough starter and hemp flour besides the desserts that are almost like main courses: the great classics, such as tiramisù and more fanciful proposals like the green Bavarese with matcha green tea with hemp seeds crumble.
Gluten-free and children’s menus are also available.
The Bar opens at 8 am offering breakfasts with Torrefazione Libera® organic coffee, traditionally toasted by the master roaster of Gruppo Ethos, and croissants, single-serving desserts, fruit and vegetable centrifuges. During lunchtime, alongside the restaurant’s offer, customers may choose among sandwiches, piadina, and basmati rice and vegetable bowls. And talking about aperitifs, the Bar offers a cocktail with matching snacks (10 euros).
Casa Milan – Bistrot dello Sport is already offering its great location and its services for the organisation of corporate events: from traditional banqueting, to business meetings, up to original Team Building formats.
